Shunt is an offense power-up that shoots a homing missile at nearby drivers. after a certain amount of time the missile will expire if it does not hit a car. Shunt does a large amount of damage and causes cars to rapidly slow down. When fired backwards it loses its homing capability. If a player is being tracked by the missile, a flashing red bar will appear behind their car. Any player can be hit by a missile, even if they are not being tracked by it. a missile can be avoided by out maneuvering it or just driving fast enough to allow it to expire. The missile can also be destroyed by firing a shunt missile backwards, by using barge when the missile is within range, or by shooting two bolts at the missile.
